YOUR CAT DAY
7:00–7:30 AM | Shuttle
Courtesy shuttle guests are picked up from the Niseko area. Self-drive guests should arrive by 8:30 AM.
8:30 AM | Check-in
Meet your guides, complete your waiver, order lunch, and collect a transceiver if needed. Dial in your ski gear, with coffee and tea available at the bar.
9:00 AM | Mountain Departure
After a safety briefing, your guides assess the group’s ability with a warm-up run before exploring Iwanai’s varied terrain. Coffee and homemade treats are served mid-morning on the CAT.
12:00–1:00 PM | Lunch
Enjoy Japanese or Western options at Three Birds Restaurant. Lunch orders are taken in the morning to ensure quick service and maximum time back on the mountain.
Afternoon | More CAT Skiing
Explore more of Iwanai’s terrain before returning to the lodge around 3:30 PM.
3:30 PM onwards | Après-Ski
Relax with drinks, light food, music, pool, and Iwanai merchandise.
THE MOUNTAIN
Discover a nearly forgotten powder mountain with open bowls, old-growth glades, and retired runs featuring consistent 30–40° pitches. Enjoy up to 4,700+ vertical metres per day, including a 690-metre top-to-bottom descent. Our guides tailor each day to conditions and ability, with the Sea of Japan echoing through the valley below.
Best suited to advanced skiers and snowboarders with strong deep-powder, variable-terrain, and tree-skiing experience.
GETTING HERE
For the most flexibility, we recommend driving to Iwanai Resort. A shared courtesy shuttle is available from Kutchan, Hanazono, Hirafu, and Niseko, with pick-up 7:00–7:30 AM and return around 4:30 PM.
For a specific return time, we recommend driving or arranging a private transfer. Please provide your accommodation and shuttle requirements at least one week in advance.
APRÈS
Après begins around 3:30 PM when guests return from the mountain. All CAT participants enjoy complimentary soft drinks and freshly prepared appetizers, while cocktails, sake, draft Sapporo beer, and premium Japanese whisky are available for purchase. Enjoy music, a game of pool, and grab some Iwanai gear before you leave.
Staying here? Stay and enjoy the evening at your own pace. Day-trippers: Après may finish earlier when shuttle guests need to return to Niseko.
